بِسْمِ اللهِ وَبـِحَمْدِهِ. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

اَلْحَمْدُ ِللهِ وَكَفٰى ، وَسَلاَمٌ عَلٰى عِبَادِهِ الَّذِيْنَ اصْطَفٰى. أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَهُ. وَأَشْهَدُ أَنّ مُحَمّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ لاَ نَبِيَّ بَعْدَه

اَللهُمّ صَلِّ وَسَلّمْ عَلٰى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمّدٍ وَعَلى آلِهِ وِأَصْحَابِهِ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ إِلٰى يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ, اَمَّا بَعْدُ. فَيَا عِبَادَ اللهِ, اُوْصِيْكُمْ وَاَيَّايَ بِتَقْوَى اللهِ وَطَاعَتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُوْنَ. قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى فىِ الْقُرْآنِ الْكَرِيْمِ، أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ. يَاأَيّهَا الّذَيْنَ آمَنُوْا اتّقُوا اللهَ حَقّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلاَ تَمُوْتُنَّ إِلاّ وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُوْنَ

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَصْلِحْ اُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلىَّ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. وَفَرِّجْ عَنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلىَّ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. وَارْحَمْ اُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلىَّ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. وَانْشُرْ وَاحْفَظْ نـَهْضَةَ الْوَطَنِ فِى الْعَالَمِيْنَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلىَّ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

The happy Friday congregation session, Rahimakumullah.

Praise and gratitud be to Allah, let us convey the presence of Allah Robbul’izzati, on the occasion of this Friday we do our obligations as a Muslim, namely Friday prayers in this lovely mosque. Shalawat and greetings, let us convey it to our uswatun hasanah, the great prophet Muhammad SAW. Also to all his family and friends, hopefully on the day of Qiyamat we will receive intercession from him. Aamiin.

Starting a short sermon on this occasion, as usual the preacher has a testament to myself and to all of you, let us truly devote ourself to Allah, by doing all commands from Allah and stay away from His prohibitions.

Happy Friday Muslims, Rahimakumullah.

Among the cycles of time, the most special is to pray tahajjud especially in the last third of the night. Although the midnight prayer is not an obligatory commandment, it has its own virtues that are very high in position. This is very clearly stated in the Al Quran surah Al Isra verse 79,

وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِ نَافِلَةً لَكَ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا

Meaning: “And part of the night pray your tahajud, as an additional worship for you; may your Lord lift you to a place that is praiseworthy. (Al Isra 17:79)

The Messenger of Allah -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him- in the midst of his busy fostering the ummah, was praying dilligently in the midnight that it was reported that his feet were swollen because of the long midnight prayer. For him, tahajjud prayer was not just worship to get as much reward as possible, but it was his hobby and a habit that is full of pleasure, he did not feel sad because his mind was so close to the Creator.

You know, this is the most beautiful time being so intimate for every servant who always praying in the midnight. The outpouring of love and incomparable love culminated in a sense of happiness enveloping the whole soul that is difficult to describe in words. It turns out that the midnight prayer is not an ordinary ritual of worship. People who really love, long and care for Allah will not want to spend beautiful nights without Him. Because it is a very lasting mental need for the formation of calm and peace in all existing circumstances.

In today’s sophisticated era, almost everyday we are reminded through WA, Facebook, Instagram and others to get up for the midnight prayer. But unfortunately not all can get up to the midnight prayer, because it is not easy even if it is only two cycles, it requires strong intention, determination and high level discipline. This is where the quality of our faith and love for Allah is really tested. Never claim to believe and love Allah, if we never domidnight prayer.

Actually, in this world there are too many problems that come and go, including living in chaos, the soul is always depressed, the economy is in disarray, the household is full of chaos, the atmosphere is uncomfortable, the disease is not cured, the match has not been found and so on. So, midnight prayer becomes one of the inner solutions to overcome it all and in sha Allah all hopes and ideals will be achieved with His permission.

Look at the great success of our Prophet Muhammad SAW in spreading the message of Islam, so that Islam spread throughout the world. Among the secrets, because he always did midnight prayer everynight. Likewise, friends, scholars and pious people, on average they have great success in all their hopes and dreams. This is all achieved thanks to the midnight prayer which they always do istiqamah.

There is a hadith of the Prophet which is very motivating, if we always get up at the end of the night for midnight prayers, Allah will surely grant all wishes and forgive our sins until dawn.

ينزل ربنا تبارك وتعالى كل ليلة إلى السماء الدنيا حين يبقى ثلث الليل الآخر فيقول من يدعونى فأستجيب له ومن يسألنى فأعطيه ومن يستغفرنى فأغفر له

Meaning: “Our Rabb descends into the heavens of the world every night that is the third of the last night. Allah said, ‘Whoever prays to Me, I will grant it. Whoever asks me, I will fulfill it. And whoever asks forgiveness of Me, I will forgive you. ” (HR. Bukhari number 1145 and Muslim number 1808)

Hopefully the description of today’s Friday sermon can pump our enthusiasm to always pray the midnight prayer every night until the end of our death. Aamiin yaa robbal’alamiin.

بَارَكَ اللهُ لِيْ وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقُرْآنِ الْعَظِيْمِ, وَنَفَعَنِيْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ بِمَا فِيْهِ مِنَ الآيَاتِ وَالذِّكْرِ الْحَكِيْمِ, وَتَقَبَّلَ مِنِّيْ وَمِنْكُمْ تِلاَوَتَهُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ. أَقُوْلُ قَوْلِيْ هَذَا وَاسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ الْعَظِيْمَ لِيْ وَلَكُمْ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوْهُ، إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِيْمُ

THE SECOND SERMON

اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ عَلىَ إِحْسَانِهِ وَالشُّكْرُ لَهُ عَلىَ تَوْفِيْقِهِ وَاِمْتِنَانِهِ. وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ اِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَاللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَهُ. وَأَشْهَدُ أنَّ سَيِّدَنَا مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ الدَّاعِى إلىَ رِضْوَانِهِ. اللهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وِعَلَى اَلِهِ وَاَصْحَابِهِ وَسَلِّمْ تَسْلِيْمًا كِثيْرًا. أَمَّا بَعْدُ:

فَياَ اَيُّهَا النَّاسُ, اِتَّقُوااللهَ فِيْمَا أَمَرَ وَانْتَهُوْا عَمَّا نَهَى وَاعْلَمُوْا أَنَّ اللهَ أَمَرَكُمْ بِأَمْرٍ بَدَأَ فِيْهِ بِنَفْسِهِ وَثَـنَى بِمَلآ ئِكَتِهِ بِقُدْسِهِ. وَقَالَ تَعاَلَى, إِنَّ اللهَ وَمَلآئِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّوْنَ عَلىَ النَّبِى يآ اَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ آمَنُوْا صَلُّوْا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوْا تَسْلِيْمًا. اللهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمْ وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِناَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى اَنْبِيآئِكَ وَرُسُلِكَ وَمَلآئِكَةِ اْلمُقَرَّبِيْنَ, وَارْضَ اللّهُمَّ عَنِ اْلخُلَفَاءِ الرَّاشِدِيْنَ أَبِى بَكْرٍ وَعُمَر وَعُثْمَان وَعَلِى وَعَنْ بَقِيَّةِ الصَّحَابَةِ وَالتَّابِعِيْنَ وَتَابِعِي التَّابِعِيْنَ لَهُمْ بِاِحْسَانٍ اِلىٰ ىيَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ, وَارْضَ عَنَّا مَعَهُمْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

اَللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَاْلمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَاْلمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَاْلمُسْلِمَاتِ اَلاَحْيآءُ مِنْهُمْ وَاْلاَمْوَاتِ

اللهُمَّ أَعِزَّ اْلإِسْلاَمَ وَاْلمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَأَذِلَّ الشِّرْكَ وَاْلمُشْرِكِيْنَ وَانْصُرْ عِبَادَكَ اْلمُوَحِّدِيَّةَ وَانْصُرْ مَنْ نَصَرَ الدِّيْنَ وَاخْذُلْ مَنْ خَذَلَ اْلمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَ دَمِّرْ أَعْدَاءَالدِّيْنِ وَاعْلِ كَلِمَاتِكَ إِلَى يَوْمَ الدِّيْنِ

اللهُمَّ ادْفَعْ عَنَّا اْلبَلاَءَ وَاْلوَبَاءَ وَالزَّلاَزِلَ وَاْلمِحَنَ وَسُوْءَ اْلفِتْنَةِ وَاْلمِحَنَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ عَنْ بَلَدِنَا اِنْدُونِيْسِيَّا خآصَّةً وَسَائِرِ اْلبُلْدَانِ اْلمُسْلِمِيْنَ عآمَّةً يَا رَبَّ اْلعَالَمِيْنَ

رَبَّنَا آتِناَ فِى الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى اْلآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ. رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا اَنْفُسَنَاوَاِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ اْلخَاسِرِيْنَ

عِبَادَاللهِ ! إِنَّ اللهَ يَأْمُرُنَا بِاْلعَدْلِ وَاْلإِحْسَانِ وَإِيْتآءِ ذِي اْلقُرْبىَ وَيَنْهَى عَنِ اْلفَحْشآءِ وَاْلمُنْكَرِ وَاْلبَغْي يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ وَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ اْلعَظِيْمَ يَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوْهُ عَلىَ نِعَمِهِ يَزِدْكُمْ وَلَذِكْرُ اللهِ أَكْبَرْ
